In addition to manufacturing standardized products, we study, design and manufacture customized gauges on demand. These are requested when a special thread, reduced overall measurements or tailor-made sizes are needed. Examples of our products include plug gauges for machine tools, high speed steel gauges, and forks made to customers’ drawings and specifications.

Fork gauges
Tamburini Srl also manufactures standard and customized forks to satisfy different usage requirements in terms of sizes to check and overall dimensions.
Steel used for the production of gauges
The entire range of Tamburini gauges is made of highly non-deformable steel alloy with a surface hardness of 63 HRc, achieved by quenching.
For customized usages and specific customer’s requests, we produce gauges made of specific materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and non-magnetic materials with lower specific weight.
Surface treatments
In order to further improve product performance, product lifetime and to reduce friction during gauge use, without altering basic characteristics, we apply different surface treatments, as for example, the coating of the thread, according to the gauge’s specific intended usage. The most frequently used coatings are: TIN – DLC.
